Our current teaching facilities include preschool, kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school; all carefully coordinated and designed to train and ready our students for the next adventure.
Dr. Mohammed T. Taher – Principal
Appointed in 2016, Dr. Taher has over forty-five years of professional experience in the domain of industry, academia and community service. He holds a PhD in Education from Northern Illinois University. Dr. Taher has worked to establish weekend schools throughout the Chicagoland area since the 1980’s, and currently also serves as Chairman of the Muslim Association of Bolingbrook Weekend School.
Samah Elzahdan – Dean of Student Affairs and Chief Guidance Counselor
Ms. Elzahdan holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Governors State University and an M.A. in School Guidance Counseling from Lewis University. She also has her Type 73 Illinois Counseling Certificate. Ms. Elzahdan has been at CPSA since 2013.
Syeda Azra Kazmi – Elementary Administrator
Mrs. Kazmi has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Computer Science from Benedictine University, and holds an IL teaching certificate. She has taught elementary grades at public and Islamic schools before taking on the Elementary Administrator. Mrs. Kazmi has been with CPSA since 2009.
Azra Jabeen – JH/HS ICM Coordinator
Ms. Jabeen holds a bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering and a Master’s degree in Information Technology from Bangalore University, India. She has worked for 14 years as the head of the Computer Department at an international school and as the director of the Computer Skills Department for 8 years at Princess Nourah University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Ms. Jabeen has been at CPSA since 2016.
Maimuna Moid – Office Manager
Mrs. Moid holds a bachelor’s degree from Osmania University, India. She started with CPSA in 1996 as an administrative assistant. With over 20 years of experience, she serves as our office manager.
Erum Tariq-Munir – Office Support
Ms. Tariq-Munir holds a B.Sc in Applied Mathematics from South Dalpta School of Mines and Technology as well as a M.Sc in Sociology from Iowa State University. She has previously served in the US Air Force and also worked as a Research Analyst for a market research firm in the Chicago area. Before joining CPSA she worked as a Preschool 1-1 Associate and Noon Hour Supervisor at the West Des Moines School District. Ms. Tariq-Munir started at CPSA in 2018.
Nesrine Sakr – Office Assistant
Ms. Sakr holds a bachelor degree in law from Beirut Arabic University in Lebanon. She is also a certified paraprofessional. Ms. Sakr has been at CPSA since 2012.
Shaheen Ruksana – Accounts Manager
Ms. Shaheen earned her Associates degree in Accounting & Information Systems from Seneca College in Canada. She has 15 years of experience as a Staff Accountant in the United States and has been at CPSA since 2012.
Ammar Alhashlamon – JH/HS Arabic & Islamic Studies
Br. Ammar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Islamic Studies from the American Islamic University. He has been teaching at CPSA since 2010.
Asif Iqbal – JH/HS Computer Science Teacher
Br. Asif holds a bachelor degree in electrical engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology and a Master’s from DePaul University. He has worked in the electrical engineering industry for almost 15 years. He has also been part of teaching faculty at different universities and as a TA at DePaul. He has been teaching computer science to middle- and high-school students at CPSA since 2014.
Asim Ghaffar – HS Psychology & Social Studies
Br. Asim studied Communications at Illinois State University, History and Psychology at Northern Illinois University. He has worked closely with the high school youth for over 8 years through different organizations such as the Muslim Inter-Scholastic Tournament and the Islamic Center of Naperville. Br Asim has been teaching at CPSA since 2013.
Ayesha Siddique – JH/HS Math
Ms. Siddique has been working as a junior high and high school math teacher at CPSA since 2013. She has taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry and Pre-Calculus. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, and has previously taught at other Islamic schools in both Illinois and Michigan. Ms. Siddique has been teaching at CPSA since 2013.
Bonniejean Alford – HS Social Studies
Ms. Bonniejean teaches AP and Honors U.S. History, along with AP Economics and AP Government. She has dedicated her life to inspiring others through education as an advocate of innovative learning at both the K-12 and the college levels. A holder of two Master of Art degrees (Sociology/Communication), Ms. Bonniejean leverages her knowledge in History, Politics, Media, and Applied Sociology to represent the interests of others and bridge communities. She completed a two-year appointment on the Communication, Legislation, and Partnerships Committee for the Glenbard High School District 87 Board of Education and now serves on the Student Performance and Achievement Committee. She is an award winning orator who regularly participates in competitions with Toastmasters International. Ms. Bonniejean also teaches Sociology at the College of DuPage, where she was named Health and Sciences Divisional Outstanding Part-Time Faculty of the Year in March 2013.
Buthaina Ruyyashi – HS Math
Mrs. Ruyyashi is a doctor of education candidate at Walden University, she has a Master’s of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Art in Mathematics and Scientific Computing from Northeastern Illinois University, she also has an Associate Degree in Computer Information System from Wilbur Wright College. She currently teaches at the college of Dupage and substituting this semester at CPSA. She has more than 10 years of teaching experience at the high school and college level, and joined the faculty at CPSA in 2018.
Carmina Forsythe – HS English
Ms. Forsythe previously taught in the Texas public school system for 18 years before moving to Illinois. She holds a bachelor’s degree in American and English literature with a minor in Secondary Education from the University of Texas at El Paso. She has a Master’s in the field of education from the University of Phoenix (Curriculum and Instruction) and Lamar University (Educational Leadership). Ms. Forsythe has been with CPSA since 2015.
Catherine Meyer – JH/HS English and Social Studies
Ms Meyer joined CPSA’s faculty in 2019, and currently teaches junior high and high school English and Social Studies.
Darrell Collins – JH/HS Physical Education
Mr Collins joined CPSA’s faculty in 2019 as the athletic director and junior high/high school physical education teacher. Mr Collins has a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Western Illinois University.
Dilkash Rajapkar – Computers/Journalism
Ms. Rajapkar has 9 years of computer teaching experience. She has been teaching at CPSA since 2009. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Northern Illinois University. She also holds Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Application Process and Fashion Designing.
Fahmeeda Arshi – JH Islamic Studies
Ms. Arshi is an Aalimah from AIE Dundee Illinois. She holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a BA in Economics from Osmania University Hyderabad. She has more than eight years teaching experience as a full-time, part-time and substitute teacher. She has been associated with CPSA since 2007.
Hala Alhalabi – Elem and JH Quran/Arabic
Ms. Hala holds a degree in Liberal Arts from Damascus. She also completed coursework in Qai’da Al Nourania. She taught Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies in Syria for four years and taught in the United States for 16 years. She has been teaching Elementary, JH & HS students at CPSA since 2015.
Junaid Mansuri, PhD – Math and Science Head of Department
Dr. Mansuri teaches Precalculus, AP Calculus, and Algebra II. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and in Mathematics from UIC. He also has an MS in Mathematics from Oxford University and received his Doctorate of Medicine from UIC. He has been a Mathematics and Physics Instructor at CPSA since 2011.
Kousar Sultana – HS Biology
Ms. Sultana teached AP Bio, Bio Honors and Molecular Bio classes. She has 30 years of teaching experience having taught for the last 14 years at CPSA. She holds Master’s degrees in Microbiology and in Education, and a teaching certificate.
Mobina Akram – Physical Education
Ms. Akram holds an Master’s in Physical Education and a Bachelor’s in Islamic Studies & Home Economics from Punjab University in Pakistan. She has been teaching elementary students and JH/HS girls at CPSA for over 20 years, since 1997.
Muzaffar Uddin Qazi – JH/HS Math & Science
Dr. Qazi had received his Bachelor’s of Science in physics, pure and applied mathematics and an MS in Physics. He also holds a PhD in Physics. Dr. Qazi has twenty six years experience of teaching physics at the graduate and masters’ level in a public university in Karachi and has been teaching at CPSA since 2013.
Nadia Joudeh – JH English/Social Studies
Ms. Joudeh currently holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Education with Magna Cum Laud recognition for grades 6-12 from Saint Xavier University and will receive her Masters degree for Educational Administration. She has taught grades 6-12 for six years, adult ELL students for 3 years, and has been a paraprofessional. Ms. Joudeh has been teaching at CPSA since 2013.
Naheda Salah – Islamic Studies/Arabic
Ms. Salah has 20 years of JH/HS teaching experience in Islamic schools and has a background in Early Childhood Teaching. Previously, she taught at the American Heritage School in Florida, and was assigned by Saudi Embassy to teach Arabic Curriculum for Saudi students. Mrs Salah has been teaching at CPSA since 1999.
Ohoud Shamsedeen – Islamic Studies and Arabic for Elem. and JH/HS
Ms. Shamsedeen graduated from Damascus University with a degree in Linguistics. She has taught at CPSA for more than 20 years, starting with CPSA in 1996. Previously, she taught Quran and Arabic at the Mosque Foundation Community Center in Bridgeview.
Quratulain Khalid – JH/HS Math
Ms Khalid joined CPSA’s faculty in 2019 as a mathematics teacher for junior high and high school, after previously serving as a long-term substitute for mathematics.
Rizwan Ali – JH/HS Islamic Studies
Sheikh Rizwan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences and a minor in Secondary Education from Benedictine University.. He completed his master’s degree from Saint Xavier University in Curriculum and Instruction. He is currently a doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership at Creighton University as well as in the process of completing his Islamic Studies degree from Al Azhar University in Cairo. Shaykh Rizwan also serves as Imam and Religious Director of the Islamic Center of Naperville. Sheikh Rizwan has served as CPSA’s head of the Islamic Studies department since 2014.
Reshma Ali – JH/HS Islamic Studies
Ruqia Ahmad – Art Teacher
Ms. Ruqia holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from Punjab University, Lahore and a Bachelors of Education degree from Pakistan Air Force College. She has also completed coursework in Early Childhood from the College of Dupage. Previously she has worked a Kindergarten Lead Teacher for six years in an Early Childhood learning center. Ms. Ahmad has been teaching art at CPSA since 2013.
Sadiq Sadiq – JH/HS Math
Br. Sadiq graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a B.S. in Mathematics. He went on to teach math at the Institute of Islamic Education in Elgin. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Education, and has been teaching at CPSA since 2012.
Sameena Khan – JH Math and Science
Ms. Sameena has a BSc degree in Microbiology and a MA in International Relations. She also holds an MA. in Teaching from National Louis University. She has experience of more than 15 years of educator/administrator experience outside of the United States. Ms. Sameena has been teaching at CPSA since 2013.
Samina Mryan – HS Chemistry & Biology
Mrs. Mryan has an M.S. degree from Rush University and an M.Ed. from National Louis University with a type 9 Secondary Teaching Certificate. She has held teaching positions at Rush University & Northwestern University. She also taught General Chemistry for Science Majors at Elmhurst College. Mrs. Mryan has been teaching chemistry at CPSA since 2010.
Shazia Lodhi – School Librarian
Mrs. Lodhi holds a B.S. with a double major in French & History, and a minor in English. She is certified to teach French and History. She has a B.A. with elementary certification with an emphasis in Social Studies. She received her M.Ed. with an emphasis on Reading from Xavier University, Chicago. Mrs. Lodhi has taught at CPSA beginning in 1999 for 17 years and has served as librarian since then.
Sumbul Iqbal – JH English and Social Studies
Ms Iqbal joined CPSA in 2019 as the 6th grade homeroom teacher and a JH/HS English and Social Studies teacher. Ms Iqbal is also an alumna of CPSA.
William Enright – Economics and US Government
Mr Enright began teaching at CPSA in 2019 as a part-time professor, teaching high school students Economics and AP US Government.
Duha Dabbouseh – 1st Grade
Ms. Dabbouseh has a B.A. in Elementary Education with a concentration in psychology from National-Louis University. She also has a Masters of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction with an ESL Endorsement. Ms. Dabbouseh has been teaching 1st grade since 2002.
Mahvish Ahmed – 2nd Grade
Ms. Mahvish Ahmed graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She has an IL teaching certificate with Middle School Endorsements in Social Studies, Art, and Language Arts. Ms. Ahmed joined the staff at CPSA in 2018.
Saima Mozaffar – 3rd grade
Mrs. Mozaffer is a certified teacher with a degree in Early Childhood Education from Governors State University. She also has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from University of Karachi, Pakistan. Currently, she is pursuing a Masters in Elementary Education, and has been teaching the 3rd grade at CPSA since 2013.
Reema Mohammad – 4th grade Teacher
Ms. Mohammad holds a Bachelors in Elementary Education from Benedictine University, with a minor in social sciences. She has substituted at various public and private institutions. Ms. Mohammad has been the 4th grade teacher at CPSA since 2015.
Amy Mackenzie – 5th Grade
Ms. Mackenzie has Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Roosevelt University and a BA in History and French from University of Toronto. She has a IL teaching certificate with Middle School Endorsements in Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts. Ms. Mackenzie has been teaching the 5th grade at CPSA since 2015.
Samina Ahmed – Preschool
Ms. Samina Ahmed holds an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Post University and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Early Education from Kendall College. She has been part of the Islamic elementary school system for the past 14 years as a preschool and kindergarten teacher and as a former preschool teacher’s assistant at CPSA from 2004-2013. She rejoined the CPSA faculty in 2017 and strives to create and maintain an environment where children can grow and thrive while exploring the world around them.
Rabia Khaja – Kindergarten
Ms. Rabia has completed her Bachelors in Elementary Education from UIC and holds a certification by the Illinois Board of Education. She has taught the 3rd grade for three years starting in 2014, and has been teaching Kindergarten in the years since.
Asma Aamir – Teacher Assistant, Preschool
Ms. Aamir received her Bachelor’s degree from Pakistan where she worked as a pre-school teacher and pre-k coordinator for the last 20 years. She holds an Associate’s degree in Montessori Studies as well as a certificate in early childhood education. Ms. Aamir has been with CPSA since 2012.
Ayesha Huma Nawaz – Elementary Teacher Assistant
Ms. Nawaz has been associated with CPSA for over 16 years in various capacities; office assistant, art teacher, teaching assistant, and resource teacher. She has been officially working at CPSA since 2012.
Durdana Begum – Elementary Teacher Assistant
Ms. Begum holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from India and has completed Child Development courses in IL. She is a certified paraprofessional and has worked at CPSA for well over 20 years. She currently works as Kindergarten TA, and has worked at CPSA since 1994.
Faizia Roohi – Elementary Teacher Assistant
Ms. Roohi has a Master’s degree in English Literature and a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with Middle School teaching experience from India. Previously she worked at early childhood learning centers for 3 years. Ms. Roohi has been with CPSA since 2013.
Kausar Jabeen – Elementary Teacher Assistant
Ms K. Jabeen is a graduate in Education from Osmania University Hyderabad in India. She has worked in internationally, including in India as well as Oman and Qatar in the Middle East, for several years. Ms. Jabeen has also worked for two years as a substitute teacher and teacher assistant in district 44 schools before joining CPSA in 2019; and she is well-experienced as a teacher for elementary kids.
Salma Mohiuddin – JH Teacher Assistant
Ms. Salma graduated from Osmania University, India with a Bachelor of Science & a Bachelor of Education with Elementary School teaching experience from India. Before officially joining the CPSA faculty in 2018, she volunteered at CPSA in various capacities.
